Vineyards 1998 SyrahValhalla Vineyards is truly a family affair. Owners Jim and Debra Vascik are seen here accepting the Governor's Cup with their son and daughter Parker and Brittany who also help at the Roanoke area winery. Jim is the winegrower while Debra is the winemaker. Their award winning 1998 Syrah was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. They age their wines in a cave located 60 feet beneath their vineyards. The cave maintains a temperature range of 55-60 degrees and 85% humidity, perfect conditions for aging wine. |
