When Thomas Jefferson and Italian Filippo Mazzei established vineyards
in 1774, they chose the land adjacent to Monticello - the site of
present day Jefferson Vineyards. With current vineyard plantings
dating to 1981, Jefferson has produced Virginia's finest wines for
over 20 years. Bring a picnic lunch (Brix Marketplace is just around
the corner) and relax on the deck among the mountains, vineyards
and horses.
