Williamsburg. Open daily for tours and tastings, you will enjoy
a video introduction to Winemaking and Grape Growing, tour Wessex
Hall, the barrel cellar and our reserve cellar, view the vintage
bottle collection in our museum and finish with a tasting of seven
of our wines in an etched tasting glass which is yours as a keepsake.
Reserve Tastings are available by appointment only.
HOURS: Open year round:
April - October, Monday - Saturday 10a.m. - 6p.m. and Sunday 11a.m.
- 6p.m.
November - March, Monday - Saturday 10a.m. - 5p.m. and Sunday 11a.m.
- 5p.m.
Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
TASTING & TOUR FEES: Tours
are complimentary for those who do not care to taste wine.
FOOD AVAILABILITY: The Gabriel Archer Tavern is open daily for lunch 11a.m.
- 4p.m. Most lunch entrees are under $10.
Dinner is served April - October only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
evenings from 5:30p.m. -9p.m. Most dinner entrees are under $20. Multi-lingual
staff.
DIRECTIONS:
From Rt. 199: Turn onto Brookwood Dr., then left onto Lake Powell
Rd., and go 1 mile to the winery entrance.
From Richmond: Via I-64, take exit 234 to Rt. 199 east.
From Newport News: Via I-64, take exit 242A to Rt. 199 west.
From Colonial
Williamsburg: Take Rt. 132 south (south Henry Street), turn right onto
Rt. 199.
From the College of William & Mary: Take Rt. 31 toward Jamestown,
turn left onto Rt. 199 east.
